# mochi cli update

Update the Mochi CLI to the latest release

## Synopsis

Downloads the latest stable release of the Mochi CLI, verifies its checksum, and replaces this binary with it. Only a CLI placed by the Mochi installer is replaced; one installed another way prints how to update it instead. A release that came out after your license's updates ended is not installed.

With --check, reports whether an update is available without installing it.

```shell
mochi cli update [flags]
```

## Options

| `-h, --help` |  | help for update |
| `-o, --output` | `string` | Output format: text or json (default "text") |

## Options inherited from parent commands
